Phone Upgrades (TG/AR) Gilbert mumbled in frustration as his phone returned him back to the main menu once again. The elderly man was tired of trying to contact his grand-kids through this confusing piece of technology. His son had recommended him trying to learn how to use this stupid thing and even had bought him an old flip phone to help him ease into the idea.
“I should just let Lauren do all of those foolish ‘texting’ nonsense,” Gilbert grumbled.
Unlike her husband, Lauren had embraced the new technology and had become an expert. Young kids were always shocked when she pulled out her smartphone in public and started flipping through apps and searching for information. None of this skill or enthusiasm for cell phones had rubbed off on Gilbert though.
The seventy year old man placed his phone down and made his way over to the dining room table. Like everything else in the house
Questing Adventurer (TG) I, Rulf Drake, was not a questing adventurer.
My father was, that was for sure. He had explored many places, conquered many lands, and saved many lives. Even when he settled down with my mother, his drive for adventuring never died. He would always sneak away from the house, for a day or two, to explore some new discovery. My mother knew about it, of course, and I think she secretly envied it. Exploring was in her blood too.
I did not share their love for exploring, a fact that my father detested. He tried to force me to love his passion. He would bring me to swordfighting and archery lessons. He would give me horse riding lessons and then ride with me in vast areas of open land. He would send me on random trips to other Lords’ homes, hoping these journeys would inspire me to see more of the world.
They did not. I loved the quiet life, the peaceful life. Reading, writing, arithmetic, those
Camera of Change: Spectator Sport (TG)“Come on, Dennis! We’re missing the game!”
Dennis groaned as Alex sprinted up the steps of the stands. The fans were shaking and rattling the stands, to Dennis’ annoyance. He covered his ears as the crowd burst into cheers as news of the home team scoring a touchdown was blasted over the intercom.
“Why does everything have to be so loud?” Dennis grumbled, unheard underneath all the noise that surrounded him. “Would a little silence kill anyone?”
When Dennis reached his seat next to Alex, Alex was already enthralled in the game, screaming along with the rest of the fans. Dennis rolled his eyes. He was already regretting the decision to come to the game with him.
“I can’t believe that the office gave us this great of tickets!” Alex exclaimed, gesturing out towards the field to emphasize the view they had. “We are so lucky that we won the office pool!”
“Yeah, lucky,” Dennis scoffed. He turned
Paper Wishes (TG/AR/AP) “Don’t miss squirt!” Tiffany yelled as she bumped into Josh, causing him to over shoot his toothbrush.
Josh mumbled to himself. This wasn’t the first time his older sister Tiffany had done that to him. It was one of her favorite tricks to pull on him. Josh had tried to retaliate multiple times, however, being 8 years younger, they rarely ended up successful. He had decided that the smarter approach was to do nothing and just be passive.
He quickly put toothpaste on his toothbrush and began to brush his teeth. He took the moment to study himself in the mirror, watching the monotonous motion of his toothbrush go up and down. His eyes moved down to look at his shirt, a dark blue t-shirt with a race car on it. He had gotten it for his 10th birthday and it became his favorite shirt to wear. He also wore a pair of red shorts and sneakers, but those weren’t as special to him.
Spoiled Sibling (TG/AP) “It’s my turn to use the TV Brandon!”
“Nuh-uh! You got to use it just before Alex came over! It’s my turn now!”
“You lier! I was getting everything prepared! I had no time to be using the TV!”
Alex watched the two brothers bicker back and forth. It wasn’t the first time that Michael had invited Alex over to his house, only to have the plan derailed due to arguments with his little brother. Unfortunately for Michael, Brandon usually ended up winning these arguments. Despite Michael being three years older and a head taller, Brandon had a secret weapon, being the baby of the family. He would whine to their parents, who would come in and protect their poor youngest son and rule in his favor.
Speaking of which….
“Would you two stop yelling!?” their mom screamed from upstairs.
Too Normal (TG/AR) [Trade] Karl couldn’t believe what he was doing. He was cheating on his girlfriend.
Karl slowly pulled out of his makeout session with Natalie. She flashed a big smile as she got up off the coach.
“I have to quickly spruce myself up in bathroom,” Natalie whispered with a sultry tone in her voice. “Stay here silly. I’ll be back for more.”
A shiver was sent down Karl’s spine as he watched Natalie sashay away. His heart told him to leave and return to Tess and hope that no one would bring this up again. His penis told him to stay and enjoy another round of this. Natalie was mysterious, arousing, and frivolous, it insisted. It claimed that Karl could totally balance the two of them without the other knowing. While Tess was responsible, sensible, and caring, she was...well...dull.
Karl pondered that train of thought for a bit. He couldn’t
Team Player (TG/AR) Carl Payne was sitting in his office on a fine summer afternoon. It wasn’t the greatest of offices, some wouldn’t even call it an office in fact. It was the back room of the local concessions stand. The stand proudly stood next to the lone baseball and softball fields in the small town of Stephsberg. Mr. Payne was the self-titled “Chief Administrator of Organizational Activities of Diamond Based Sports” in Stephsberg. Basically, he was one of the few people who helped run the rag-tag city baseball and softball teams.
Suddenly, his door flew open and in marched a furious Mr. Stephen Wolfe. The sharply dressed business man trudged over to Mr. Payne’s desk and slammed down a piece of paper.
“Why is my daughter being invited to play baseball?” Mr. Wolfe angrily scowled at Mr. Payne.
“We discussed with Harper about the idea of her playing baseball and sh
Fitting RevengeFitting Revenge
Finally, she had it! Pam had promised to get her a bottle of ‘Perfectly Fitting Clothes’ for ages, and it had finally arrived. Now Eve could change herself to fit anything at all, and the possibilities were making her positively giddy. She’d bought an extra-large bra on the way home, and was hoping to...
“Adam? What the hell are you doing in my bedroom?”
Adam danced around, laughing. Her panty drawer had been upended, and he was wearing her best pair of pink satin panties as a hat. “It’s spring break! I’m celebrating.”
“Damn it, Adam. For the older twin, you can be *so* immature. Clean this up and get out.”
“Or what? You’ll pout and tell Mom? They’re not back until tomorrow.”
“Or... this.” She sprayed the bottle right at his head.
“Augh! What the hell was... What did you do?
House Cleaning Rant “Ok!” John stated, “That’s it! It’s time for a discussion that should have happened a long time ago!”
“Oh boy!” Daniel said with a roll of his eyes, “What now?”
“Is this about buying more toilet paper?” Reggie asked, “Because I told you, I’ll get some on my way home from work tomorrow!”
“It’s about the state of this damn place!” John yelled at the two. The three roommates were piled into their apartment’s living room. John was a tall guy with a lanky build and beard and the person who initially asked for roommates in the first place. Reggie and Daniel, smaller in size but bigger in muscle, were his roommates.
“What about it?” Daniel asked.
“Look at it!” John stated angrily. The two roommates gla
Flavorful Rhythm A small car rolled in a parking lot outside of a forest park. Inside it was a young, fit woman in a track team getup. Letting out a sigh, she turned off the engine and thought, time for another morning run…
She tied up her frazzled brown hair into a ponytail and unzipped her red track jacket just a tiny bit. Stepping out, a small breath emerged from her mouth, visible on this slightly chilled morning. The young woman stretched her tone legs carefully, hopeful to get rid of all the kinks in them before she got to jogging.
Gotta keep in shape, she thought, gotta to be fit and slim like everyone else at work… you think all that instructing would be enough, but nope. Not to me…
Retying her shoes, she headed off into park and towards one of its many trails. She had been running every week since she took a job at the local gym in her communit
To the Beat of Your Dreams
Nothing seemed different. Just another day had passed. Nothing was different. Everything was as it was yesterday and the day before and most likely the day afterwards.
The weather was appropriately stormy, as the forecast had foretold. Having just come back from yet another typical day of college classes, Carlos expected nothing less and especially not anything more. Today was just another day marked off the calendar. Another day of logging onto DA, checking for any new messages, responding to comments, checking up on his watches, and pretty much just fulfilling his daily ritual. The only difference was a few select comments on his profile all more or less stating the exact same thing: Happy Birthday!
'Oh yeah,' Carlos thought to himself in passing. 'Guess I'm 23 now. Forgot about that for a moment. Oh well.'
And so life went on as usual. He gave his thanks to every one of his friends and fans that had wished him a happy birthday and pretty much wrapped up the rest of his dailies. Now
Plot of the Retro Bimbo Aliens, Log Rho
Alright, so I'm still here. The fact that I'm making a log at all is going to be an indication of the fact that I didn't die. I still stand behind my apologies, though. It was all stuff that I just needed to get off my chest anyways.
Given how I was reacting to the events, you might think that while I was making my log entry I was simultaneously planning an all-out assault on Stephanie's ship. This wasn't exactly the case. Sure, Rosalin was prepping for that, but she kind of does that all the time regardless of whether we're in any immediate danger. I probably should have included the last little bit before I made the log, but I was in a rush. After making sure that my disguise was turned off(Oh, man, I can't even imagine what would have happened if our cover had gotten blown in front of one of Stephanie's brainwashed goons), I got on the comm channel and hailed Stephanie's ship, situated 60 degrees away from our position in Earth's orbit.
Plot of the Retro Bimbo Aliens, Log Pi
If this is the last log you all see from this, like if an astronaut finds our ship once the power's out and the cloaking device stops working and digs through it and sees these records, I want to start by making some apologies.
Mom, I was the one that knocked your signed photo of Pat Benetar off the mantle and ended up tearing a hole in it. I know that the cat I blamed died four years ago, but it was still wrong of me to make Nibbles take the fall.
Melissa, when I broke up with you it wasn't because I felt that I was weighing you down. I'm pretty sure you guessed that much. It was because that one time I went over to your house and saw you eat a sandwich made of peanut butter and Doritos. I know our relationship is too far gone to salvage, but maybe if you examine why you'd do something that disgusting, you can find someone that lives with your faults.
People of earth, I did what I could. If you're all brainwashed Gynarians now, I'm really, r
Powers TG: Episode 9: AftermathDerek and Lauren couldn't talk about what had just happened until they got back to the school. Which was already closed, and the parking lot considerably more empty than this morning. Derek said goodbye to Arthur, who had his own car, and went to Lauren's. And as soon as they closed the door...
...there was silence. Mostly stunned silence. Numbed silence. Uncertain silence.
Silence that was only broken by what seemed to be their rapidly-becoming-traditional after-school pitstop at Whataburger.
"What happened." It wasn't said like a question.
Derek was still quiet for a minute. During that minute, Lauren finished her burger.
"Got caught up in the idea of catching the bad guy," said Derek. "Didn't think about much else."
Another hesitant silence.
"So, what happened in the vault?"
"I... I figured out I can go through walls."
"What, really?" Lauren perked up.
"Yeah. Turns out that form with invisibility powers has walk-through-walls powers too."
"Intangibility," said Lauren. "Huh. So how'd
Powers TG: Episode 10: Details and Drama"Amelia Powers. On record as the world's first superpowered being. Or, should be more apt, the first known superpowered being. Possesses the powers of flight, walking through walls, controlling water, and, supposedly, shapeshifting. With enough eye witnesses from the museum, the water rescue in Galveston, and from the news studio, we can confirm that she and her powers are definitely real.
"What we don't know is her intent. She saves a man from drowning in her first appearance, but ultimately does not perform the CPR needed to actually save him. In her second appearance, she confronts a thief and fails to stop him. Granted, this thief is the world's second known superpowered being, having teleportation powers, but still her first time confronting a criminal has her failing to apprehend him. Lastly, she has publicly admitted to not wanting to do active hero work, meaning she isn't patrolling the streets to stop criminals.
"And adding to t
